Rev. Frank Ford, a former Superintendent of 15 years in
the Lafayette District Church of God in Christ, pastored
Lily of the Valley Church of God in Christ in Ville
Platte, LA, and is currently pastoring Community Chapel
Church of God in Christ in Opelousas, LA. His vision as
a spiritual leader, ministry of compassion, and
commitment to the knowledge that we as a people are
inextricably bound together in life are the foundation
for his vital role in the current construction of the
Family Life Activity Center. His leadership has also
spawned a community house, which provides clothing to
the needy, and a mission department that serves meals to
senior citizens. |

As a dedicated philanthropist and a member of the Civil
Service Board, St. Landry Parish School Board Committee,
and other community services, Rev. Ford is instrumental
in touching the lives of many. |

Rev. Frank Ford has a Bachelor's Degree in Education
from Southern University and A&M College of Baton Rouge
and religious training in Pastoral Ministries from
Winbush Bible Institute. |

Rev. Frank Ford is married to Mrs. Martha Joubert Ford
(32 years), and they have 2 children (Christopher Dwayne
Ford and Anitra Rochelle Ford-Scott). |

compassionate spiritual leader with tangible results of
self-determination and a better life for the community,
and people with whom he comes in contact. |

John W. Joseph's co-ownership of Ford and Joseph Funeral
Home is another achievement in an illustrious career of
the City of Opelousas native son.
In thirty years of employment with the St. Landry Parish
School System, John W. Joseph served as teacher,
principal, supervisor, and Director of Federal Education
Programs. In 1987, John W. Joseph made history as
Opelousas' first elected African-American Mayor
and served two elected terms with vigor,
innovativeness, competence, and dignity. |

After serving as Mayor, John W. Joseph was confirmed by
the Louisiana Senate and served as Deputy Secretary of
the Louisiana Department of Social Services with
appointments by two Governors. He is currently an
elected member of the St. Landry Parish Democratic
Executive Committee, a member of the Southern University
Board of Supervisors, a member of the Board of Regents'
Committee On Academic And Student Affairs, a member of
the Task Force for Master Planning For Post Secondary
Schools, and member of Progressive Baptist Church. |

John W. Joseph has a Master's Degree in Administration
and Supervision and 30 graduate hours above the masters
in Management. He is married to Mrs. Cecile C. Slaughter
(46 years), and they have 8 children and 17
grandchildren. |

John W. Joseph's knowledge, experiences, skills, and
compassion continue to help promote Ford and Joseph
Funeral Home, Inc. as a premier and growing community
business in the Funeral Industry. |

John W. Joseph has an outstanding history of public
service delivery. Empowered in several spheres of
interest, he has a proven track record of helping others
in education,; local, state, and national government,
and now in the funeral industry.
